Senate Garage sits in the Stockade Historic District, an eight-block area filled with 17th-century stone houses, galleries, and weekend farmers markets. Favorite stops include Rough Draft Bar & Books for coffee and new reads and lots of unique locally owned shops and restaurants.

The venue sits on the property of the Senate House State Historic Site, where New York’s first Senate met in 1777. One block farther is the Old Dutch Church, a National Historic Landmark dating to 1852.

Yes. Couples often use the 18th-century garden just outside Senate Garage.   Just a few blocks away is the famous Four Corners at the intersection of John and Crown Streets. It is the oldest intersection in America.  The buildings on The Four Corners were built pre-revolutionary war dating back to the 18th century. Uptown Kingston is also home to several beautifully painted murals that make unique backdrops for pictures.

Mohonk Preserve’s cliffside trails are 19 miles west, and the artsy village of Woodstock is 11 miles north, making easy half-day excursions.
